INTIMATE LEAVES
A ravishing sequence of
solos and ensemble pieces on themes of Love and the natural world. The
'subtle art' of Guillaume de Machaut and later fourteenth-century
composers of the Chantilly Codex perfectly complements the gentle,
delicate soundworlds of John Cage and his New York circle. The
concert also included music by a trio of exciting young British
composers and a world premiere of a work by Chung Shih Hoh.
