INTIMATE LEAVES
A ravishing sequence of solos and ensemble pieces on themes of Love and the natural world. The 'subtle art' of Guillaume de Machaut and later fourteenth-century composers of the Chantilly Codex perfectly complements the gentle, delicate soundworlds of John Cage and his New York circle.  The concert also included music by a trio of exciting young British composers and a world premiere of a work by Chung Shih Hoh.

An eight-voice EXAUDI returned to St James the Less for the third year running and made its Suffolk début with ‘Winter Flowers’, a programme including motets by Josquin and Lassus, and works by Lutyens, Rihm, Tippett, Howard Skempton and Michael Zev Gordon.

Showcase concert of education project with the Purcell School

Eight outstanding young composers from the Purcell School heard their works performed by EXAUDI in a public concert held at the Royal Academy of Music. Each work had been commissioned by EXAUDI specifically for this project, and was explored and developed during a one-day workshop held at the school in March.
