Our Spring 2024 Season
Welcome to our new website! We hope you enjoy browsing it and find plenty to interest you about our work. As well as general info and upcoming events, the redesign includes an updated list of recordings and CD shop, and a year-by-year history of the ensemble, showing our progress through 20+ years of contemporary (and early) vocal music performance.
Meanwhile, we hit the ground running after the winter break with concerts in January and February.
We begin in Oxford on Sunday 14th January with a performance of Martyn Harry’s work OUR SEPARATE WAYS, premiered in London last year as a musical frame to Harry’s former student Eugene Birman’s documentary opera Russia: Today. In Oxford, a performance of the Birman made by singers in Estonia will be screened, and we will perform Harry’s work live.
In February we visit the MUSICON concert series in Durham for a performance of songs and madrigals old and new, followed by repeat performances in Stanhope and Felton, Northumberland.
Finally, we are back in London at Kings Place on Wednesday 28th February, as we perform an exciting new programme entitled Thrilly Marvel Chants, devised by the brilliant young British composer Oliver Leith, including a new work of his own.
We look forward to seeing you at a concert soon!
